I need your help!
I can be of help to you!
I have begun, AGAIN, to take better care of myself by eating better and being more active. I must realize that I'm not 20. Nor am I 30. I'm not 40 anymore either. In fact, I'm 61. I must eat and exercise like I'm 61, not like my young adult sons or my 6'3" husband.
I am walking and riding an exercise bike (at least until spring when I'll get my mountain bike tuned up and head for the trails in the North West... GLORIOUS!).
If I don't do this NOW I WILL SUCCUMB to DIET RELATED DISEASE... diabetes, cancers, heart disease, and more. I know God has made me the curator over this temple and I have done a poor job of maintaining the display. This is not about having trouble with aging, or is it? What ever the wake up call, I want to answer with, "Yes, Lord, speak, I am listening and I want to obey you."
As you can see by my blog title I want things right NOW. It will take me time and obedience to accomplish my goal. I also know it's the journey, not the goal, of life that I must focus on. Having said that, I am going to slip on my tennis shoes and give my son the cake pan to hide from me or I will nibble yesterdays dessert away, and I'm going to hit the ground walking (I don't run... bad knees are my legitimate excuse... what if I'd taken better care of them in my 30's... would they be so bad today).
Come with me, at least in conversation, since we can't all physically walk together. Log on and let's encourage one another. I need you. You need me.

My life verse at this phase of the adventure
Romans 5 :1-5 Amplified
1THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified ([a]acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to [b]enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
2Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.

5Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.
