A Creative Blessing—Cut-A-Thon
Heather Davis, owner of Bella Via, Vancouver, WA, has cut my hair for 2 1/2 years. Five weeks ago when I sat in her chair for beautification she told me, “I received your letter and I want to help. I know I can’t go to the mission field at this phase of my life (3 young children and a business) but I have such a love and compassion for orphans. Would it be OK with you if I worked a 12 hour shift on my day off and donate all of the proceeds to the team?” We invited our friends to get their hair cut for orphans. Heather shared with me at the Cut-A-Thon that she had asked the Lord, “How can you use my business?” God uses us right where we are, every phase, every talent, with what ever is in our hands… especially scissors! $612 were raised that day!
